AAED Business 2 Baseball
Yesterday, Deane and I had the pleasure of attending the AAED Business 2 Baseball event at the Cubs vs. Dodgers Spring Training game at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, AZ. There was a great turnout. We really enjoyed meeting new AAED members, and catching up with the members we already now. They couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day either! Thanks to AAED, particularly Bridgette Blair (Director of Marketing and Operations) and Dee Dee Bark (Corporate Investment Director), for making us feel so welcome. We are looking forward to attending more events!

Site Selectors Guild Conference in Orlando
As a founding board member of the Site Selectors Guild, Deane recently attended the January 22-24, 2012 Conference in Orlando, Florida. The event was chock full of consultants economists speaking about the global projects in which they are involved. The first-ever conference was hosted by the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission and its partners (Enterprise Florida, FPL, Greater Ft. Lauderdale Alliance, and JAXUSA Partnership) , and also included a private dinner at Walt Disney World’s Epcot. In attendance at the dinner was Florida’s Governor Rick Scott, who was there to show his support for the site selectors and clients conducting business in his state. A little FCG update…
We have been pretty busy lately traveling and meeting with clients, helping them with their respective projects.
Most recently, Deane was a panelist at the South Carolina International Trade Conference in Charleston, SC. The key topic was the importance of ports in site selection decisions…very important!!
Deane met up with client Wayne County (MI) EDGE and some key prospects in Dallas at the Steel Restaurant…great discussion on the New Detroit!
We hope to be back soon with more!
