To All You Sports Fans: I can’t resist gloating over my Oklahoma Sooners well deserved invitation to the National Championship Game in January versus the Florida Gators annouced tonight. Daughter Emily and I enjoyed watching the Missouri game together in Chicago last night and our hands hurt with so many “high fives”! Think about it, this is all good for the national economy and it gives us all a little time to forget about the worries of the world and just enjoy good, fun football! GO SOONERS! Deane

Off to the MAEDC Conference in Chicago this weekend
Hi All! I’m pleased to be participating in the Mid-America Economic Development Council’s (MAEDC) Competitiveness Conference in Chicago this weekend. I hear that we are in store for record attendance and I’m sure that everybody will have the “R” word on their minds. It will be great to network with friends and colleagues about the state of business and our profession and I’m confident that new solutions and new hope will result!
The workshops look good. I’m humbled to be part of a “star studded” field for the Site Selectors Panel, moderated by Ron Starner of Site Selection Magazine, as well as a session entitled, “Where is Your Available Workforce?”
