Hello, Everyone! FCG had a nice day downtown at the Phoenix Convention Center for the CoreNet Global Summit. There was a pretty good turnout! The General Session was opened by thought-provoking speaker Richard Florida. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and interesting, but he’s quite an entertaining speaker. I was able to snap a quick photo with my phone, so you can check out the action (despite the lacking quality).

Deane and I, along with Paige Webster, chatted with some really nice CoreNet members from around the country (and Canada). Deane will be moderating at a SNAP Session tomorrow (Tuesday, September 21) at 10:00 AM with our good friend Anatalio Ubalde of GIS Planning. Before walking the floor at the General Session, Deane, Paige, and I met at Majerle’s for a lovely lunch with Mike Masciola of the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation and Tanya Lawrence of URS.
Deane and Paige got to roast – I mean golf – in the record-setting , 111-degree weather on Sunday. Despite the heat, they had a great time with fellow CoreNet folks.

So, all-in-all, it has been another awesome CoreNet Summit! Thanks to everyone at CoreNet Global and to all of its members; hopefully we’ll see you all in Chicago!
