Fuyao will bring 800 jobs to former GM plant

We at FCG are excited to learn that Fuyao, a Chinese producer of auto parts, will be bringing manufacturing operations into the former General Motors plant in Moraine, OH. FCG, alongside Angelou Economics, assisted The City of Moraine with providing new options for the vast plant site, which was abandoned by GM in late 2008. The new operation expects to hire up to 800 workers, awesome news for the Southwestern Ohio area.

FCG is on the GO!

Hello Readers!

We will have a pretty full schedule over the next few weeks! Right now, Deane is in Columbus, OH for the IEDC Annual Conference. He is scheduled to give a presentation with Steve Vierck of Angelou Economics, Mike Davis of the City of Moraine, OH, and Carolyn Kennett, the Economic Development Director of Parsons, KS. The title, “Your Major Employer Leaves – What Now?” touches on creating jobs and restoring hope to areas that have been hit hard by the struggling economy in the United States. We will post the Powerpoint once the conference has come to an end.

Deane and Paige will be attending the Solar Power International 2010 trade show in Los Angeles, October 12 – 14! We sent out a flyer to a handful of exhibitors, and we are in the process of setting appointments. Are you going to the show too? Let us know!

I have yet to see any new files posted to the CoreNet Global site regarding Deane and Anatalio’s Phoenix presentation. I will post some links as soon as I see something!

Have a great week, Everyone!
