In addition, the Board discussed planned Advisory Forums, educational meetings on-site around the globe, in Lincoln, Nebraska; Prince George, British Columbia; Des Moines, Iowa; and Indianapolis, Indiana, “What is the Site Selectors Guild?” The following new language explains:

all-day conference, designed to target out-of-town business, was a great networking experience for site selectors, real estate brokers, consultants, and developers. The highlight of the day was the  appearance and riveting presentation from Earvin “Magic” Johnson! Magic gave insight to his business success, saying, “When I started (in the world of business) I met with many community members and picked their brains about business. I learned about business from many people and then I added the same work ethic that used in Basketball.” He explained how he opened Starbucks stores in inner-city areas, and made them thrive by catering to the likes and needs of the customers. He recently sold his 50% Starbucks shares back to the company for $75 million. He is truly a wise businessman, and FCG was thrilled to hear him speak.
